Micro Current Technology Balances the Brain!

Conditions helped by Micro Current Neurofeedback (MCN) overlap those of traditional neurofeedback. However, it is common for a patient to plateau with traditional neurofeedback and then experience additional progress utilizing MCN. And it is much more efficient.

Most conditions that IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback can treat fall into the following categories:

  • Affective

Anxiety in all forms, including panic attacks, generalized anxiety & PTSD, impulse control, anger, rage, bipolar & depression.

  • Trauma

Mild/Moderate Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), concussions from sports, blast injuries etc. Strokes, to a limited extent.

  • Cognitive

ADD/ADHD, some learning disabilities, cognitive deficits from stroke.

  • Miscellaneous

Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, some aspects of autistic spectrum disorders, addiction.

Condition That Can Be Helped

With Micro Current Neurofeedback

ADDICTION
Addiction is a medical condition characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli, despite adverse consequences.

The brains of addicts “freeze” in a dysfunctional homeostasis (much like a computer freezes). This frozen state confuses or disarranges the individual’s brainwaves. Micro Current Neurofeedback briefly stimulates the brain at a micro-level, creating a temporary fluctuation in brainwaves. This allows the brain to reset or reorganize itself.
CHRONIC FATIGUE
Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is characterized by long-term fatigue and other symptoms that limit a person’s ability to carry out ordinary daily activities. CFS can compromise the quality of life for those who suffer from it.

Those suffering from CFS can also experience higher levels of anxiety, stress and fear, and related symptoms. These natural, secondary affects can “freeze” the brain into a dysfunctional homeostasis (much like a computer freezes).
DEPRESSION
Depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activity that can affect a person’s thoughts, behavior, feelings and sense of well-being. MCN Neurofeedback briefly stimulates the brain at a micro-level, creating a temporary fluctuation in brainwaves, which allows the brain to reset or reorganize itself.
INSOMNIA
Insomnia is a sleep disorder where people have trouble sleeping. They may have difficulty falling asleep, or staying asleep as long as desired.

The brains of insomniacs “freeze” in a dysfunctional homeostasis (much like a computer freezes). This frozen state confuses or disarranges the individual’s brainwaves. Micro Current Neurofeedback briefly stimulates the brain at a micro-level, creating a temporary fluctuation in brainwaves. This allows the brain to reset or reorganize itself.
ADD ADHD
ADHD & ADD are 2 of the most common childhood neurobehavioral challenges that are mainly caused by dysregulations in brain functioning.
PTSD
For someone with PTSD, their brain “freezes” in a dysfunctional homeostasis (much like a computer freezes). MCN Neurofeedback allows the brain to reset or reorganize itself, thus releasing itself from its frozen or stuck patterns
FIBROMYALGIA
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a medical condition characterized by chronic widespread pain and a heightened pain response to pressure. Other symptoms include feeling tired to a degree that normal activities are affected, sleep problems, and troubles with memory. Some people also report restless legs syndrome, bowel or bladder problems, numbness and tingling, and sensitivity to noise, lights or temperature. Fibromyalgia is frequently associated with depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder.
TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY
Fall, Injury, TBI, Car Accident? Post-Concussion Syndrome is the aftermath caused by a Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) and can affect us all in many different ways.
ANXIETY
Anxiety in all forms, including panic attacks, generalized anxiety & PTSD, impulse control, anger, rage, bipolar & depression.
